Stranger Fruit

This is a special project created around the death of George Floyd, and the civil unrest that followed. We wanted to find a way to honor his life, and speak to the experience of living in this time of continued injustice and unrest- especially in Minneapolis, which we consider “ground zero” for the start of the 2020 protests. The video contains original music by Ayanna Muata, with lyrics that were created by Cam Muata as a continuation of sorts from the original song, Strange Fruit.
